Futron has recently been awarded a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for Department of State, National Capital Region (NCR). We will be providing various renovation projects including demolition, construction and/or renovation of building spaces at the Main Department of State Building and its annexes in the National Capital Region. Under this contract Futron will be serving multiple locations within the General Services Administration (GSA) building inventory, including the Harry S. Truman Building (HST) which is comprised of approximately 1.66 million net square feet of office space, of which 120,000 square feet is currently under a prospectus level renovation.
This award is Futron’s second MACC award from the State Department this year. Earlier this year we were awarded the Worldwide Design-Build General Construction Projects Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract from the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). We were also pre-qualified for several State Department projects overseas in places like Laos, Iraq, Lithuania, India, Germany, and Morocco.
Futron was selected for the NCR contract based on our ability to work under the unique requirements of working in a mission critical facility while maintaining Construction Security Clearances and the manpower resources necessary to renovate projects on time and within budget.
“The Department of State is a very important client for Futron. We are happy that in addition to building new facilities overseas Futron will now be upgrading facilities in the U.S. for DoS staff”
-Shakil Qureshi, President
