For our final installment as part of the 20th Anniversary Project Snapshot Series, we would like to focus on the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and its rural development.
The Rural Development mission area within the USDA is the lead federal entity in rural development. Their mission is to help rural Americans to improve the quality of their lives by supporting community development with information and technical assistance, among other objectives.
Futron was contracted by the General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center to provide IT technical services to the USDA Rural Development Information Systems Security Program. Each phase required Futron to provide all personnel, material and transportation required to perform the work described in each task order. This work included performing Phase 2: Certification and Accreditation/Security Test and Evaluation requirements, as well as updating documentation and mitigating system weaknesses and vulnerabilities identified during Phase 2 for the Phase 1: Pre-certification.
Futron’s work with the USDA validates our IT solutions and our ability to address our customers’ business goals. With our IT professional services depth and breadth of experience, we are ready to take on any challenge and turn it into a rewarding outcome.
