Futron Revamps Camp Lejeune Engineering School Barracks to Increase Building System Efficiencies

Futron is renovating an existing Marine Engineering School student barracks building and providing new construction for a separate chiller building at Camp Lejeune, NC in support of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. Our scope of work on this Bid-Build Construction project is to modernize the building systems and increase the efficiency of the mechanical systems. The building includes 90 rooms and can house 200 Marine students.

Our scope of renovation work includes:

• Complete HVAC and electrical systems replacement and modernization
• Construction of a new standing seam metal roof system
• Door and window upgrades
• Renovation of the laundry room to include painting, ceiling installation, lighting, and plumbing
• Safety features and requirements for on-base housing
