Work under this project included the installation of a gas meter with two wire pulse output and a wireless remote terminal unit (RTU) at the Johnson Road Gate upstream of split in main natural gas line feed to Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany. The work included the connection of the pulse output from the new meter to the base’s existing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) network via the wireless RTU. We installed repeaters, programming communication devices, programming AMI server and interface screens, fittings, valves and other material necessary to connect the meter to the existing gas main and input of meter data into geographic information system (GIS) files.
