Futron delivered a comprehensive managed Ethernet connectivity solution for the U.S. Census Bureau by designing and deploying a dedicated, high-performance network that supported voice, video, and data services across multiple data centers and regional call centers. The project involved establishing robust fiber builds over challenging geographical distances—including a 70-mile route from Columbus, IN to Jeffersonville, IN and a permit-requiring build from Louisville, KY to Jeffersonville—to ensure redundant paths for disaster recovery and continuity of operations. This scalable network, which can rapidly ramp from 1 Gb to up to 40 Gb, provided reliable connectivity for critical applications and supported more than 600,000 handsets, all while maintaining an impeccable track record of uninterrupted service.
